Many adolescents feel like they don’t fit into the world in which they were born. This is certainly true in this book, where Dingeltrot stands taller than everyone else in his community. It’s also true in The Wizards of Waverly Place tv show, where Alex, Justin and Max are the only of their day-to-day friends who possess magical powers. But facing the challenges of growing up, even the adolescents who feel different and alienated realize they are, more than anything, regular human beings.
